New AoG Print Technology and Associated Services Contract has been announced
14 September 2015
The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) has announced the panel of suppliers for the new All-of-Government (AoG) Print Technology and Associated Services (PTAS) contract. The new contract enables eligible agencies to meet their print related product and service requirements through the one contract.
In the five years that the Print Device and Print Device Management Services contract has been in place, agencies have enjoyed savings of up to 27% against best market rates, with over 180 government agencies currently participating in the contract.
The new AoG PTAS contract will continue the success of the AoG programme over the last five years and is one of a number of expiring contracts that have returned to market for replacement in 2015.
There are a number of benefits of the new AoG PTAS contract, including a wider scope than the first generation AoG Print Device and Print Management Services contract offered. Improved pricing better reflects the aggregated value of government spend providing better value for money for eligible agencies.
Four providers have been selected to the panel following a competitive tender process conducted early this year. They are:
Canon New Zealand
Fuji Xerox Ltd, New Zealand
Konica Minolta Business Solutions New Zealand Limited
Ricoh New Zealand Ltd
The panel of providers are well established New Zealand businesses, most of whom have parent companies offshore. The tender process provided the opportunity for providers offering products and services related to print, to team up to be included on the panel. Agencies will benefit from an increased choice of products and services, purchasing options and competitive prices.
The new contract will be effective from 14 September 2015.
